My design philosophy and approach is shaped by my experiences problem solving and collaborating as a product designer
To understand what the customer needs, we must understand their context, environment, mental models, and intent before jumping into designing.
Use inclusive language and design in accordance with WCAG accessibility guidelines.
If not careful, assumptions can become socialized as truths. Document assumptions from the start and test well-defined hypotheses when possible.
Less clicks, taps, and interactions doesn’t always equal a better experience. Prioritize designing for comprehension and reducing uncertainty over removing friction at all costs.
Even small changes can create a ripple effect. Design for the experience as a whole and give love to all the various touch points.
No design will work 100% of the time for 100% of people. Partner with Product, Engineering, and Stakeholders to align on what needs to be prioritized and what tradeoffs need to be made.
